Ms Angela Barnham

Angela Barnham needed a reliable car to get her eight year old son Boe to medical appointments. Boe is autistic and has a brain tumor, requiring frequent treatment in Sydney. Angela’s previous car was only good for the scrap heap and Angela could not afford to replace it.

Lake Tuggeranong Lions come to Angela’s rescue and donated a car to ensure that Boe could get to the treatment he needs. Funds for the car were raised at the Lions Auction Dinner Dance held in 2008. [Health Morrison of LJ Hooker Tuggeranong assisted in organising the event and has since joined the club as a member.]

Lake Tuggeranong Lion members, President Mal Mitchell, Ian Suffolk and Heath Morrison presented Angela Barnham with a car on Thursday 12th February 2009.

Tuggeranong Valley

Tuggeranong is the southernmost town centre of Canberra, the Capital City of Australia. Tuggeranong is in a valley of the Brindabella Ranges and the district occupies 117 square kilometres to the east of the Murrumbidgee River.
